Cat food containing cultivated meat is well accepted and digested by cats. This is evident from a recent study by Ghent University and biotech company BeneMeat, the results of which have been published in Frontiers in veterinary science.

Study Examines Cultivated Meat in Cat Food

A study published in Frontiers in Veterinary Science found that a complete feline diet containing cultivated meat from BeneMeat was well accepted and digested by domestic cats. The research was conducted in collaboration with Ghent University and focused on the acceptance and digestibility of the ingredient in petfood applications.

A feeding trial shows that BeneMeat’s cultivated hamster meat is well-accepted and digested by cats, who leave significantly fewer scraps than when they eat conventional chicken.
